Ramparts of iron age fort on Mam Tor above Castleton in the Peak District. A very exposed place to live - always windy, very cold in winter. Who would choose to stay here? Perhaps the fort was only retreated to in times of danger, or even built as a show of power and not actually inhabited much at all.
