Driffield Castle
Motte and bailey remains from Norman times, though Roman buildings and a Northumbrian palace existed here previously.

Skipsea Brough
Site of a Norman and early medieval motte and bailey castle. Archaeology has shown that the mound pre-dates this, and is likely to have been built in Neolithic times, quite a rare thing.
