Fossil
40,000 year old fossil of calcaneum ("heel" bone) from elk, branch-antlered deer or other large cervid, found in the estuary of the Eske at Whitby.

Roe Deer
Roe deer at dusk at Tophill Low nature reserve. Also saw several other deer, barn owls, various small birds and ducks. Spring weather but still had a winter feel.
